Aster

Aster

Wild aster is a broad-leafed annual herb that grows up to six feet tall. The weed is common to coastal areas. It grows in parks, gardens, and other disturbed areas. Young plants form a rosette of leaves and develop long, upright stalks with narrowly oval blades and branched flower stems. Flower heads are white, pink, or blue daisies on leafy stem-like branches. Wild aster can be a nice naturalizing plant, however it is a vigorous grower that can take over areas in yards very quickly.
