Austrian Fieldcress

Austrian Fieldcress

Austrian Fieldcress is a persistent perennial that grows in wet soil on disturbed and cultivated sites. Its smooth stems grow 1-2 feet tall and are branched at the top. Flowers form in loose clusters at the tips of branches with 4 small yellow petals. Spherical or oblong seedpods release small, brown to black, rough or warty seeds. Austrian fieldcress has a deep, thick taproot and extensive creeping lateral roots. It reproduces through seed distribution and creeping roots.
