Chicory, Common

This perennial weed resembles dandelion in the rosette stage but produces flowering stems with attractive blue, purple or white flowers. Flowers are produced in clusters of 1 to 3 on a stem and are approximately 1 inch in diameter. All leaves are alternate and are lance shaped and approximately 3 to 10 inches long and up to 3 inches wide.
