Clover

Hop Clovers are low growing cool-season annuals. There are three main species, hop clover, small hop clover and large hop clover and all are in the Pea family. They are found throughout the entire continental US and spread aggressively by seed. They are primarily used as livestock forage because of the speed of growth and nutritional value. Hop clovers range from 8 to 18in.tall with three leafs per stem. The flowers are less than 1/2in. in diameter and are off white to yellow. They prefer open pastures, open woods, lawns and roadsides.
