Lovegrass

Lovegrass

There are many species of lovegrass and they are widely distributed across the US. Some of the other common varieties are stinkgrass, tea lovegrass, little lovegrass and purple lovegrass to name just a few. They are in the grass family and are 1-3ft tall. Lovegrass’s are generally perennial but can be annual and produce seed heads to propagate. They will grow in almost any condition but most prefer sandy well drained soils in sunny locations. Most varieties are native to the US but some have been introduced.
