Mugwort

Mugwort

Mugwort is a perennial species of plant that can be found in most areas of the United States. The plant grows from 1-3 feet in height with multiple stems coming off the main plant. The leaves then cover the branches and stems. They are very small and almost appear like blades of grass less than a half inch long. The top side of the leaves will appear to be white, due to the small hairs that cover the leaves giving it a fuzzy appearance. The plant does flower from August-October but the flowers are extremely small, usually white or yellow that can sometimes go without notice due their small size. The plant is also known for being highly aromatic, or having a strong smell.
