Oxtongue, Bristly

Bristly ox-tongue is a dandelion-type weed that is both annual and biennial. It grows on a wide range of soil types but is usually confined to bare ground and neglected areas of turf. The weed has long, narrow, oblong-shaped leaves. Each leaf has many whitish swollen pimples that are rough and bristly to the touch. It flowers from June to September, producing clusters of flowers, each up to 10 inches in diameter.
