Poorjoe is an annual species of plant that is most common in the Southeastern United States. The plant usually grows close to the ground, but can also grow upright in some instances. The leaves of the plant are elliptical in shape and can grow to a length of up to 1 and ¼ inch long. An easy identifier, the leaves of the plant is connected to the stem by a membrane that has several long hairs connected to it. The flowers of the plant are extremely small with 4 petals in a crisscross pattern that are usually white.
