Euphorbia Serpens (Creeping Spurge)is the most common family of weeds in the western US. Most reproduce by seed but creeping and ground spurge and spread by roots along the stem. Some have tap roots up to 24 inches in the soil. They all have a prolific seed production and those deposited in spring will immediately come up while those deposited in the fall will wait until the following spring. Plant has milky sap when broken.
